allesonwonderland Posted September 29, 2022 #1 Share Posted September 29, 2022 Just booked a January cruise out of Miami and while I haven't booked our airfare yet, it's looking like we may get in after midnight. Any hotels have late night shuttles anymore? Looks like a lot of changes post-covid. Our last cruise out of MIA was pre-covid, and we got there early enough in the day to take the people mover down to Brickell for our stay at the Hampton Inn. (Already looked it up and it appears the people mover shuts down between midnight and 5a, so shuttle or uber it is.) Debating whether it's better to stay closer to the airport since we'll get in so late. or go ahead and head down closer to the port. Of course our pre-boarding routine will require some sort of grocery or liquor store visit to get our wine and sodas. Thanks in advance for any insight! Rare Honolulu Blue Posted September 29, 2022 #2 Share Posted September 29, 2022 While you're waiting for other replies that might help you more, let me tell you about the experience I had at the Miami International Hotel, inside the airport. TL,DR: small and dated rooms, not-so-hot service, can be expensive, but might meet your needs.
TSUmom Posted September 29, 2022 #3 Share Posted September 29, 2022 Although we have arrived earlier than after midnight (about 8:30) we booked Courtyard airport hotel. They had a shuttle from the airport to the hotel. In the morning we took a taxi to Port
JohninDC Posted September 29, 2022 #4 Share Posted September 29, 2022 Lots of hotels near MIA, where I would stay if arriving late, but doubt any will have shuttles ruining after midnight. Taxis will be waiting, and the fare should be $10-15. Hampton Inn Blue lagoon is often suggested (along with the nearby Homewood Suite), with a strip mall across the street for any last-minute cruise shopping needs. Taxi ($30+) or Uber to the port - or the hotel may have a shuttle (fee) option.
Corby114 Posted September 29, 2022 #5 Share Posted September 29, 2022 Since your arriving after midnight I would stay at an airport area hotel and then Uber or Lyft over to the Port Of Miami in the morning.
