I will go out of my way and get an answer, but…. You’re an expert.

Who would be the right source for your question?

Let me know ASAP. We have the usual event with upper brass at YC tomorrow AM (I’m at GMT from tonight).

Customer Service Honcho is my guess, or Voyager Honcho.

Cheers

We liked Houdini. Lots going on at the same time. Heard one complaint that the 3 free drinks offered weren't to their liking but they were fine for us?

We will see the next performance of Rock.

Thanks so much.  Is it better to buy tickets when onboard?  We are traveling with friends and want to get tickets for the same show.  Also want to see what times/dates to pick that are best with our 7:45 dinner time and don't conflict with the main show.  Also not sure if these Carousel and main shows are all done on just a 3 night cruise.

Would greatly appreciate  your letting me know if the Rock Circus is good as well.

Enjoy the rest of your trip.  We used to cruise often, but since getting our beloved standard poodle we hate to leave him home!

Thanks.

Zephyr173 - If possible would you ask for the expected Capacity numbers from Customer Service for the 16 October Port Canaveral Sailing?  Please don't go out of your way, but if they happen to have them thanks in advance!

Cheers

Hi GonzoWCS,

I submitted your question to Mr. Moik, hotel director. He’s really nice and spent quite a few minutes speaking to me about how MSC is organizing the winter season with several ships in the southern USA and Brazil, as well as how they plan on dealing with storms that are getting more frequent and violent. Do try to spend a moment with him if you can.

This being said, the current expectation is 4400 pax for the cruise departing on the 16.  However, the current load for the next one, on the 23rd, is 2200.  Mr. Moik said that 2200 is in line with what is observed on Divina at this time.

Have a super day.

Hi tbmrt,

i will get back to you with good intel bout the Houdini and Rock Circus shows once I collate it.

The main show at the Broadway theater (deck 6 fore) is at 7:30 and 9:30. As I have observed, it is the same show on a given day, but different from day to day. Duration is 45 minutes.

We have been on Meraviglia 4 nights as of now, and have enjoyed all shows. We were treated to the première of “Cool” and must say that it was exceptional, super high energy music from the 70-80s with lavish costumes. I liked it even more than either Michael Jackson or The Mask, and they were great shows 😃 on MSC.

Back to you soon for the rest of your question.  Be well.

I was wondering if those dates are correct.  In talking to a Travel Agent friend, they told me that they were told by MSC that the 3 days cruise leaving 10/13 was close to 4500 and the 7 day leaving on the 16th was at around 2300 currently.

Thank you so much, for both the information and kind words.  Robert was on Seaside for the build in Italy and the first year in the Caribbean.  He came to MSC from a long stint at Princess.  Very professional, but also outgoing.  Alessandro has been on Seaview for some time.  I hope your sailing  goes well!

I've sailed with Robert also and I think the YC director was on Divina with us once. Have heard that a few butlers I know will also be there. I think the head butler, Vinod will be there also.

It would be nice to see Vinod again!

I'm wondering the same thing!  I passed the info on to our Role Call and another  group, and may now have to correct myself.  Did a mock booking on the 13th, and there was almost nothing, but there are cabins on the 16th and 23rd.

Just an FYI:  I am on the October 13 three-night cruise and we have a very active FB group.  Someone who said they are currently on the trans-Atlantic quoted crew members as saying that the Oct. 13 three-night is expected to have 5,200 passengers and the following cruise is expected to have 2,200.

Thanks for this.  Yeah FB is saying about the same for our 16 October.  Letting the folks enjoy their quiet TA.  Hopefully everyone is relaxing and the seas are calm!

Thank you for the helpful information!  Glad to hear the shows are good.  I have been reading post-COVID reviews about Meraviglia and those reports do not remotely match our experience on the ship in Dec 2019.  I am a "glass a little over half full" person, so I know we will enjoy our cruise.  It is encouraging to see the positive reports from your trip though!  😀

We will be joining on Oct 13 for 10 days from Port Canaveral.  I heard they were allowing smoking in the casino despite that per the report the signs in the casino say non smoking?  If true, I hope they stop it once cruising from the US.  Thanks

I contacted MSC and was told that they definitely will permit smoking on this cruise in certain areas.  Really not happy about that.

Giuseppe Gazzano from Italy is the Captain. He's been stopping by our Spanish lesson each day to say hello

I remember him from my days sailing Carnival!  Nice enough fellow!  Didn't know he switched to MSC.

Never met him so looking forward to meeting him.

Not surprising.  He's only been with MSC for a year and a half!  That's a heck of a time to switch, but Carnival was having all kinds of trouble back then.

I have a friend that cruises lots with Carnival and knows most of the captains.  She sent me a picture of him so I'll be on the look out for him 🙂   She is also going to let him know about me being on board.
