Electric Mobility Scooter

We will be ordering an electric mobility scooter for mu DW on our cruise on the Summit 3/23 out of Miami. We are using the company suggested by Celebrity. On some previous cruises on NCL it delivered to our suite. Does anyone know if it is delivered to the cabin or you have to pick it up portside in a designated area.

I have used Special Needs Group several times for both scooters and rollators. Device was in the stateroom when we arrived.

Mine was in stateroom when we arrived.  I requested a foldup scooter which was super easy to unfold,  plus it fit in the closet.  At the end of the cruise just left it in our cabin

First time my husband will be using a scooter and I have questions:

Where do you park it in the Dining Room at dinner time. Also when you eat breakfast at Oceanview Cafe?

We sailed on the Millennium last year over Thanksgiving.

My wife broke her leg a week before the cruise and we ordered a scooter from the company Celebrity recommended.

It was supposed to be in our cabin on arrival but was not.

She was not looking forward to using crutches around the ship.

We were in a celebrity suite and asked the butler for assistance. 

He was able to track it down and delivered it in about 30 min.It was still down with all the luggage.

 

She parked it right outside the host stand at Luminae every night and would then crutch to the table .

The staff were super helpful and accommodating.

There are some tables in Oceanview where you can access the table easily on the scooter.  Emphasis on some.

Make sure you have an accessible cabin as getting past the bed is difficult to impossible in a regular cabin.

We have our own electric scooter & my DW needs it because she will be having knee replacement   . I also bring my  deluxe walker    .We can park  the 2  items near the front entrance to any of the ships restaurants  then a short walk   to the table .We also have a cain

If you drive it to the table the crew have great fun in driving it away and parking it. They will also bring it back on request. Just like valet parking.
