Jadn13 Posted October 24, 2022 #1 Share Posted October 24, 2022 Hi All! Has anyone had issues using a Future Cruise Deposit for a casino offer? Just to be clear the Future Cruise Deposit you put down while on board for future cruises, Not FCC I just tried booking an offer using the money I already put down for a deposit and was told I needed to provide another form of payment. FCD were no longer being accepted for casino offers?! Seems strange to me since it is my money that Princess is already holding for well....FUTURE CRUISE DEPOSITS I was just curious if anyone else has run into this issue or if anyone has any written information that reflects this. Thanks! J
disneyochem Posted October 24, 2022 #2 Share Posted October 24, 2022 Book casinos cruises a lot and have never been able to use our Future Cruise deposits. My understanding: On a casino-comped cruise, you have to pay taxes and fees as well a refundable $200 deposit. You're not putting a deposit on those cruises. On a reduced-fare casino cruise, I have been able to use FCD. On these cruises I just get a reduction in the cost of cruising, not a free room.
memoak Posted October 24, 2022 #3 Share Posted October 24, 2022 Casino cruises do not have deposits per se You have to pay the entire price up front. $200 per person which comes back as OBC, all taxes and fees plus any upgrades you request (like Princess Plus or higher cabin class
EDDY0827 Posted October 24, 2022 #4 Share Posted October 24, 2022 To perhaps be a little more specific, a fully complimentary cruise will require a refundable $200pp deposit while a cruise with a casino discount and/or casino credit may be booked using a FCD. I did it for a cruise in Sept '22.

And it is also non-transferrable, so you can't move the deposit to a new booking either if you decide to cancel the cruise.
rwilk1129 Posted October 25, 2022 #6 Share Posted October 25, 2022 I have found it depends on who you talk to in casino dept. I don't usually get comped cruises but on reduced price cruises I have used FCDs, been denied using them, and they have mistakenly used 2 each for deposit and once they charged my credit card for entire price of cruise that was 7mos away. They have some serious deficiencies in the casino department. Thanks to Fernando I finally got my cruises sorted out and refunded on overcharges. Jadn13 Posted October 25, 2022 Author #7 Share Posted October 25, 2022 Thanks everyone. I realize I get the money back I was just hoping to use the money that princess was already holding. Holland America is so much easier to work with and Princess has really been a struggle lately.
