Questions about dining and entertainment on the Allure

Hello, we have sailed on the smaller RCL ships and have never made reservations for dining or entertainment. We are thinking of a cruise on the Allure. Are reservations necessary  for dining and shows? If so, can we book them in advance months before the sailing or do we have to wait until we board? Thanks.

MTD can make reservations through the cruise planner ahead of time.  Note that MTD has changed recently and the earliest seating you will be able to get either in advance or on board is about 6:45.  If you want earlier than that I suggest signing up for early traditional dining.

Show reservations are now made on board

Yes, or even while waiting to board if you can pick up the ship wifi in the terminal.

There’ll also be a box office open on deck 5 when you board, if you prefer to book in person, plus a phone line.

Yes, in Boleros on 5th deck.  On my August Allure sail, no reservations needed for the headliner show.  Reservations are required for Mamma Mia, Aqua & Ice show, & Adult Comedy.  One could also, go on standby and any available seats are released to general public, 15 minutes prior to show time.
