online check in timing question

We haven't cruised since 2019.  We have a 7 day booked on the Panorama out of Long Beach leaving 12/3/2022. My wife and I are Platinum, and I understand that we can "check-in" online 16 days prior to 12/3, and select an arrival appointment window. When precisely does the "16 days prior" start? Is it 12:01am on November 17th? If so, which time zone? The one I'm in, the one the cruise leaves from or EST where Carnival is headquartered?

You will be able to select your check-in time at midnight EST. For our last cruise I set my alarm to wake up a few minutes prior. Just kept refreshing my screen till it showed up.

Carnival’s website gets very busy starting at 12:00 AM, so if you don’t get in right away, just keep trying.  If you get stuck partway through the check-in process, you can exit out and go in again.  It will save what you have already completed.  Some people skip right to the arrival appointment section and go back to do the remainder of the check-in.

How does check-in work for platinums now in terms of boarding times?  I just checked in and was not given an option to select a boarding time

D&Ps now have priority boarding, so I suppose Carnival removed the requirement to select a check-in time.  And to make the obvious pedantic statement: you select check-in times, not boarding times.  Boarding times are driving by other factors and can be quite delayed, but follow the same order as the check-in times.

they was a glitch with the carnival site not showing the arrival times. from the other threads it is fixed. go back to your account and you should be able to select a time

Just did mine Friday (yesterday) morning at 12:00 and picked my time for December 4th cruise.

 

You might want to go back in and doublecheck, so you don't wind up with some late time.

When you are able to check-in at 12AM, go straight to "Arrival Time" first and select your time. Then go back and continue filling out passenger information.

I checked for my 12/2/22 Radiance cruise and I got 10-10:30 am
