southt00 Posted October 30, 2022 #1 Share Posted October 30, 2022 Hi: We have decided to go to Coco Beach for our second day in Moorea. Does the ship still change it's anchorage in Moorea? When we went the first time, it alternated bays. Also, I suspect taxi is the best way to get there. Any idea on how long this would take and the approximate cost? Thank you in advance. mermaid 285 Posted October 30, 2022 #2 Share Posted October 30, 2022 I don't have the answers to your questions. However, be aware that should you wish to eat at Coco Beach restaurant you might have to wait for 1-2 hours to be served your food. That was certainly our experience in 2018 and we only ordered snacks. It is a beautiful motu though.
liamur14 Posted December 9, 2022 #3 Share Posted December 9, 2022 We ate a few times at Coco Beach over the past month and the service was quick and always a 10/10 meal. Had the whole fried fish ...Unicon >>.deicious! as were the tuna skewers, curry shrimp and fish burgers. We loved them!
Rare Tahitianbigkahuna Posted December 9, 2022 #4 Share Posted December 9, 2022 95% of the time the ship anchors in Opunohu Bay and stays there until it leaves for Tahiti. Taxis are usually available id you wait until the the people leave for the morning excursions. You actually can walk to the Coco Beach transfer location, it's only about a mile but take water.
