"Formal" on Princess

I can't find mine. Hope I didn't leave them on Ruby Princess (took Bart to that ship so my biggest suitcase)

Bottom line. It shifted from formal wear to dress to impress. Which is sort of like dress how you would go to the philharmonic. I don't know anybody who wears a text/ sequined gown there anymore but also nobody wears cutoffs

And yeah, gotta leave space for chocolate now that the steward doesn't leave it at night. Priorities

Apologies for taking topic off track

I think where the cruise is going matters. I've done a lot of Princess Mexican Riviera and Princess Hawaii and "formal night" seems to get less formal every successive cruise. On my Oct cruise to Hawaii I'd say not more than 15% of the men were in tuxedos, maybe 30-40% in suit & tie. I wore a sport coat (blazer) and no tie and many men had no coat, just a nice dress shirt and slacks and no one cared.

Formal is only formal for the dining room. It is not like Cunard where entire sections of the ship are formal.
