larrybritt Posted November 2, 2022 #1 Share Posted November 2, 2022 Do you know if in the ceremony you can read your own vows? And where does the ceremony take place? I know you can choose the day, any thoughts on best day and time?
1025cruise Posted November 2, 2022 #2 Share Posted November 2, 2022 I did this 12 years ago, so my information might be dated. I did this on the Crown. The Captain has a prepared thing, but I'm sure if you wanted to do your own thing it wouldn't be an issue. The ceremony took place in the chapel. We could not pick our day/time. It's based on the Captain's availability. Ours was scheduled for the first formal night right before the main festivities.
MissP22 Posted November 4, 2022 #3 Share Posted November 4, 2022 I once saw a ceremony on the outside rear desk a few years ago. It got crowded.
carefreebee Posted November 4, 2022 #4 Share Posted November 4, 2022 From what I understand you have options for your location. The standard renewal package includes use of the Chapel or you can upgrade for a fee, to selected areas around the ship. We've witnessed several weddings & renewal ceremonies around the ships over the years. The day and time is tied to the Captain's schedule. The Chapel is a very nice space and can accommodate quite a few people. I've watched two weddings from the Sky Princess live on Facebook back in 2019 and they were lovely. With the package you can select flowers for the space and wedding party. The Captain will say a few words but you are welcome to say your own vows too.
