We are scheduled to be there on the 27th and 28th and we are considering maybe adding a day and night . The Accuweather average for that time is 57-58 F for high temps and upper 30's at night . We know that it's been colder than normal , but we shall see . We did see a neat movie that pumped us up a bit called Marry me in Yosemite . It's about a photographer going there trying to get the perfect photo . https://www.hallmarkchannel.com/marry-me-in-yosemite
Rare scubacruiserx2 Posted March 5, 2023 Author #304 Share Posted March 5, 2023 We were in first at the Turtle Bay Pier . A little later we saw the MSC Seashore cruise into and back into the James Bond Pier . We love the full promenade and deck chairs on this class of ships This is the view of the ship , the pool and the Retreat from the Tamarind Bar We have been here many times and it's not our favorite port so we won't be going ashore . Here's someone else review . https://www.iqcruising.com/ports/caribbean/jamaica/ocho-rios/overview-ocho-rios-cruise-port.html

Lunch was a great view . But is this Dive In fry carton half full or half empty ? We noticed a shadow person several times on the balcony up top but we could never see their face Sail away Edited March 7, 2023 by scubacruiserx2
Rare scubacruiserx2 Posted March 8, 2023 Author #306 Share Posted March 8, 2023 The sunset over Jamaica Dinner was at the Pinnacle We tried the Pinnacle Grill wine pairing The Pinnacle grill was now charging for extra apps . They had reduced the price on caviar from $ 70 to $ 50 . So we figured if they we going to charge us extra for an app that we may as well enjoy one on sale . We don't think that Esther had been to West Deck so we asked her to make reservations . We wanted to try a number of local dishes so we ordered and ate family style . And with the orders in there was time to take a couple pics LOL Joe- we eat at West Deck when in Aruba. Next visit December 25 2024 on Rotterdam! Norris Norris we did enjoy them for the view and convince . We have a very good private guide there that we have used several times who takes us around the Island for about $ 300 . She show us a couple of local places in the South . One was on the water where the fishing boats come in named Zeerover . No menu , fresh off the boats tell them what you want and how to cook it . One we picked was Kammi's Kitchen . She had never eaten there but they had curried Goat for Pat and curried Conch for me and homemade coconut ice cream . Tell us if you want Esther's contact info . Thanks Joe but I'll give Esther the day off. I'm aware of Zeerover but it's not our cup of tea. We'll take our customary walk to West Deck for lunch and enjoy the view and atmosphere.
