nanrob Posted November 19, 2022 #1 Share Posted November 19, 2022 My husband and I (from the USA) applied for our NZ ETA several days ago. His was immediately issued but mine still remains in a pending status. There is no way to contact anyone at the New Zealand Immigration office. No email to contact. I have tried calling but it always says there is an hour wait and it is costing me a fortune in phone bills. Does anyone have any advice? Thank you in advance. buchhalm Posted November 19, 2022 #2 Share Posted November 19, 2022 I can only imagine that you made s tiny mistake somewhere along the application process. An extra or missing space or CAPITAL or non-capital is enough to confuse the system. Perhaps try the form below? Good luck ( good lick, as it would sound in Kiwi-nglish) https://www.immigration.govt.nz/contact/nzeta-change-request
sanne Posted November 19, 2022 #3 Share Posted November 19, 2022 Suggest you use wifi to ring, or Skype.
Bubbeh Posted November 20, 2022 #4 Share Posted November 20, 2022 Not sure if this is helpful or not but have you tried contacting your local NZ Consulate? It's possible they may be able to act for you or at very least pass on a message, just a suggestion. Good luck, this must be quite stressful for you. nanrob Posted November 20, 2022 Author #5 Share Posted November 20, 2022 Thank you all for your awesome advice. I am still pending. I did contact my phone provider and added on a plan so that I can make an international call more economically. NZ ETA did charge both me and my husband (his issued and mine still pending). I did google search and saw that some folks say its ok to travel with it just "pending". I am not sure that I would be comfortable doing that. I will probably try calling next week. And then secondly I may try to submit it again but do it Online instead of using the App. I appreciate all your help. Cheers.
windsor26 Posted November 21, 2022 #6 Share Posted November 21, 2022 Sometimes the delay is due to having had a previous name (before your marriage) it gives them something else to check sadly But I am told pending is OK
