trouble cancelling internet purchase

Recommended Posts

I've always been able to cancel and purchase internet when I see prices drop.  Usually I cancel first, then repurchase, but my husband bought his own before I could cancel mine, and now we have two voom and surf and we only need one.  When I try to cancel online, it doesn't go through and says "cancellation failed, please try again".  This has been going on for about 3 days now.  Last night I called RCCL to cancel and the rep had trouble as well, but said that it should cancel within 24-48 hours.  We sail Monday so I was hoping to get this done before.  Anyone have any other suggestions?

I have several items I have cancelled and purchased again but I never got the cancellation failed message.

Some of the cancelled items have been refunded and some are still hanging out there.

I would give it a few more days.

The ones I am still waiting on for a refund are the internet packages.

Be careful you don't want to hit cancel too many times then end up with no internet pkg.  and have to pay the onboard price.

It is usually 2 or 3 days before a cruise that items on the planner will no longer be available to buy or cancel.   Worst case, if you board and have 2 packages the person at the Voom desk can cancel/refund you on one of the packages.    May come back as OBC while onboard.

Go to the Voom desk when you board and get the person there to cancel the one you don't want. The value will post to your onboard account as refundable OBC. Quicker and easier than cancelling online this close in to your sailing.
