How to make the most of D+ free internet and Prime discount?

We don’t need internet every day of a cruise, but the combined four night D+ amenity isn’t quite enough for a 9-night cruise.  What is the best combination of that and the Prime discount?  Can the Prime discount even be used for just the last half of a cruise, or is it voyage length only?

You can still use it to have internet everyday.

 

It's actually four 24 hour periods.

 

Day 2 noon till day 3 noon.

Dsy 4 noon till day 5 noon

Day 6 noon till day 7 noon 

Day 8 noon till day 9 noon

 

Can easily be adjusted to give even more coverage if you are in ports with free wifi.
