WC Segment Cabin Assignments

I booked a 2024 WC segment.  My TA told me that it was, and remains, guarantees only for everyone who didn't book the full voyage, and that this is not uncommon.

 

I booked (and later cancelled) a 2023 WC segment and getting a cabin assignment was never an issue.

 

Posters, please enlighten me.

We refuse to book GUAs and as pre Covid segmenteers of many years, waited until the cabins of our choice were released.

We were never able to jump in and book immediately and often waited a couple of months.

 

I don't know about '23 as we weren't interested,

We had no trouble with the 2023 Capetown to UK leg. Got specific cabin.
