Stone Island is our favorite.  We go to Lety's- they will set you up with loungers, umbrella and the best fajita's and margarita's on the island.

Going to Mexico's seafood capital to eat Tex-Mex? No way! Seafood all day is the ticket. Glad to see Megan is having a great time on the Mex-Riv cruise. A lot of folks underestimate the itenerary, it's a great time.

well I didn't specify what kind of fajita's........shrimp and throw in some fresh fish tacos.

Now you're talking! Fresh fish taccos, bbq'd/fried/smoked whole fish, ceviche, fresh oysters and aguachiles. So many great options there. Paradise for a seafood lover!

Great day Mazatlan. We were high jacked by our taxi but we had a great time.

Starting from the beginning. You get off the ship and they have shuttle that take you through the port area to the shopping area.

Stone Island was the plan but everyone was saying that it was murky right now so we were talked into going to Deer Island by Hector. We get in his open air taxi and take off.

Hector takes us over to his brother who usually does deep sea fishing… Manny. Manny’s son says he’ll take us to Deer Island private tour for $40/piece so we say ok.

So, the a very tiny boat, we are headed out to open water. It was a gorgeous trip but a little nerve-racking. There were times, I thought we’d never get there and Victor didn’t speak English at all.

On the way, we met a friend. He wasn’t happy about that other boat getting so close.

Deer Island was good. Had very limited services. Good snorkeling… puffer fish, lots of flying fish, manta rays, etc.
