Yes, I had to even with status when we cruised from FLL

Seattle has a different but similar program.

If transatlantic from London, does EZ check still qualify? Also, if flying First Class and no baggage fees are charged, does United still charge for this extra handling? martinitime1 Posted December 6, 2022 #30 Share Posted December 6, 2022 (edited) We just flew back from a T/A on the 23rd. We used EZ check for the three large bags FLL>SFO, best $50.00 ever spent. Put the bags in the hallway on the ship that last night and retrieved them in SFO. If you are flying first/business or otherwise don't have to pay the normal luggage fees, they will also be deferred for EZ check, there is a place to advise the status or reason, and likely will be checked. We flew first and only had to pay our $25.00 pp. as our first two bags each were included in the fare. The fees shown above would apply if you had to pay the usual baggage fees. Just the $25 fee. There is a spot on the form that addresses checked bags status.
