The Illusionarium on (I believe) Getaway was always number one on my list. I saw it at least 10 times and each time it was magical and amazing.

Was this the old Cirque show or the new Junnk show? I haven't gone to see people do a Vegas-street style garbage can show...I was disappointed when I found out the Cirque show had been replaced by garbage cans, alas I guess I can't knock it, since I haven't seen it.

I saw Broadway Unplugged on the Getaway in September. It was fantastic! Performed by the cast of Million Dollar Quartet. I know Broadway Unplugged isn't exactly a show, but it was entertainment (and very good, different entertainment, at that). I loved how the cast kind of interacted with the audience as well.

Not at all.  It's about saving a dying shoe business by providing woman's boots for use by men in drag.

My favorite was Jersey Boys.  Close second was Choir of Men.  Someone above said it wasn't Broadway quality, I disagree.

I strongly urge you to see both shows (Choir of Men and Kinky Boots), early in the week because you may want to see them again.   get to Choir early and you can go up on stage and have a beer with the cast.

I did get to have a beer with the cast at the beginning of Choir of Man.  Fun show.  Talented performers.  Had a great time at that show.

Sorry about Kinky Boots misunderstanding.  Not a fan of Cindy Lauper’s music, either.  So, either way, probably wouldn’t see it if the opportunity presents itself, again.

Key to getting in to any of the Cavern Club and/or Syd Norman’s shows is to get to the venue an hour early to get in line.  They are THAT good and THAT popular.  Or, book a Haven Suite, in which the Haven Concierge gives you a personal escort to enter the venue’s back doors before it opens to get your choice of seats.

I know Rock of Ages had a pretty long run on the Away ships.  I saw it twice.  Fun, high energy, and the music was right in my wheelhouse (Big Hair and Metal).  Adult themes throughout, so some should have left the “kiddies” back in the cabin instead of complaining about the well publicized adult themes.  I believe their contract was up, so it’s no longer playing on any NCL ship.

Blue Man Group was identical to the show I saw in Vegas, which I paid big bucks to see.  Fun!!!  I don’t think it’s playing on any NCL ships now.

Saw that show (extra charge or use one of the Specialty Dinners to cover it).  You know, I remember it being pretty good.  But, really don’t remember the show.  Not sure what that tells you.

I’ve seen Jersey Boys so many times, although quite good, I knew all the moves, the songs, and the story by heart when I saw it again.

I’ve seen Million Dollar Quartet 2X, and would see it again if given the chance.  It’s that good!

The music is nothing like Cyndi Lauper's music...it a great comedy musical...if you have the chance you should try it.

I like jukebox musicals, but not traditional musicals where dialogue is sung. So Million Dollar Quartet and Rock of Ages are the only ones on NCL I've enjoyed. Would easily watch Million Dollar Quartet again. Hoping Choir of Man on my next cruise will join the list of shows I've enjoyed.

Comedy shows are totally hit and miss for me. Only a few times have I outright thought it was a waste of my time.

I can't comment on illusionist or acrobatic type shows. I keep missing those (not entirely on purpose, but I don't prioritize them).

I hope you like Choir of Man. Until I saw Choir of Man MDQ was my favorite. Saw MDQ probably about a dozen times and have seen Choir of Man 10 times on the Encore. Like them both obviously.

Loved Six, Priscilla, Jersey Boys.  Wasn't wild about Choir of Man.  I thought Kinky Boots was a little too long.  But, as others have pointed out, tastes vary so much...

What did they all have in common?  Every one of them was a top-notch, extremely professional  production.

Only saw Footloose, enjoyed it until my behind complained as there was no intermission.    Wife really enjoyed Choir of Man.  We got to hang out with them when they came up to the Observation Lounge to relax and sat right next to us.
