Rare karatemom2 Posted December 30, 2022 #1 Share Posted December 30, 2022 (edited) We will be on the five night Discovery cruise to Cabo in February and overnighting in a tender port is a first for us. Do the tenders stop running at some point in the evening on the first night and then pick up again in the morning? I know some people opt to spend the night in town, but we will prefer to return to the ship. I would imagine they suspend tender operations at some point - anyone have any idea how late they are usually taking people back and forth on these overnight stays? suekel Posted December 30, 2022 #2 Share Posted December 30, 2022 I believe in Hawaii last month, the tenders were shut down from 1-5 am. I think.
Rare LACruiser88 Posted December 30, 2022 #3 Share Posted December 30, 2022 Last year on the New Year's cruise on the Majestic they ran all night. Currently on the Discovery doing the same cruise. I'll let you know in a few days how they handle it for this voyage.

Mike45LC Posted December 31, 2022 #5 Share Posted December 31, 2022 I was told that it is up to the Captain’s discretion. On an overnight in Cabo two months ago, the tenders stopped running about 10:00 pm and resumed at 8:00 am. Times are perhaps inaccurate, as my notes are in my office and I am not! I had no interest in nightclubs in Cabo (sorry, Sammy Hagar), but I might have visited the casinos if the tenders ran all night.

Techwizardress Posted January 4, 2023 #7 Share Posted January 4, 2023 We took this cruise in November 2022. They run all night long. At night they do not run as often but they will still get you back to the ship.
Rare fpsphil Posted January 4, 2023 #8 Share Posted January 4, 2023 Depends on the ship. Sapphire in Oct they stopped overnight, Discovery in April they ran all night. Late night service is usually slower and is only one of the shoreside tenders running back and forth.
