Car Insurance Covers a Secondary Driver?

I'm travelling to Italy for 10 days.  I'll meet a cousin, then we'll rent a car for 6 days to drive around Tuscany.  I'll add her as a secondary driver on the car, but since the travel insurance is only for me, will the car insurance extend to her as well ?

It depends on the policy, but the ones I know the best only cover drivers that are listed on the travel insurance plan.

 

It's best to ask whoever you bought it from. If they say "Yes", get it in writing from them.

Duh, guess it would have helped to tell you which insurance policy I'm looking at! Sorry about that.  It's IMG SE.  My credit card offers protection for any listed driver so I guess i'm covered either way.
