39august Posted December 31, 2022 #1 Share Posted December 31, 2022 At one time I had a copy of Celebrity's Aon travel policy, but it has disappeared somehow. Can anyone please tell me if there is a time restriction to cancel and have this covered? I thought I remembered that for CFR had to be done 48 hours prior to sailing for it to be covered. But that really doesn't make any sense. Am I remembering right or not, please?
Suzanne123 Posted December 31, 2022 #2 Share Posted December 31, 2022 From the web site: Cancellation Penalty Waiver Program2 – non-insurance features provided by Celebrity Cruises Allows you to cancel and waives the normally non-refundable cancellation charges if you need to cancel for specified reasons. In addition, CruiseCare® Cancel For Any Reason Cruise Vacation Enhancement make sure that in the event you choose to cancel for a reason not eligible under the plan, at any time up until departure, Celebrity will provide you with a cruise credit equal to 90% of the non-refundable value of your cruise vacation prepaid to Celebrity, for your use towards a future cruise (excluding Flights by Celebrity). Most cruiseline CFAR policies allow you to cancel up scheduled departure time. Most 3rd party policies utilize the 48 hour rule.
