imola Posted January 9, 2023 #1 Share Posted January 9, 2023 I know that I should know this but... I have looked at sailings using standard booking and then at a different time using our C&A numbers to see what our discount prices would be . They are the same both ways. Is the C&A discounts now only available on certain cruises? We have always gotten them in the past. TIA for any info you can share.

Many "sales" nullify/lower the C&A discount, so yes you only get it sometimes. Find a group with a TA and you can apply it all the time.
The Scurvy Pirate Posted January 9, 2023 #3 Share Posted January 9, 2023 Freqeuently, the current "sale" discount is greater than the D+ discount, so you can only use the "sale" price. So much for loyalty discounts...

Balcony discounts are only combinable with the base sale of 30% off. They are not combinable with the extra savings, instant savings or additional OBC offers that most often accompany the base sale. In a suite these offers are generally more than the D+ discount so you do not get the balcony discount.

imola Posted January 9, 2023 Author #8 Share Posted January 9, 2023 Thank you folks. As always you are helpful. We have a TA but they didn't seem to know about D+ discounts. I am just disappointed that I thought it was a perk we earned only to realize only sometimes. Oh well we will still be sailing and that is a good thing. lol
Cigar King Posted January 9, 2023 #9 Share Posted January 9, 2023 My experience is that generally the balcony discount on a suite is paltry when compared to the overall cost of the suite. I just tell myself the "sale" price is probably better than the non-sale price with the balcony discount and move on.
