Princess terminal 2 Port Everglades

Never really thought of this before as we typically only sail Princess and it's always out of T2. Over Christmas, though, we got on Celebrity right after our Regal Princess disembarkation and it dawned on us that T2 is out of the secure area. Just curious as to why this is? It does make it very convenient to be able to head toward the 17th street shops without having to go through port security. Just seems weird to have one terminal out of the secure area of the port. However, I am glad that it's a Princess terminal.

Terminals 2 and 4 have been outside the security zone for the last 5 (or more?) years since the security checkpoint was moved south of the entry to those terminals.  Port Everglades is primarily a cargo terminal and all of that activity is south or west of terminals 2 and 4 (those to the west are fenced in along Eisenhower Blvd).
