Excursion credit used as OBC

We have the promotional “excursion credit.” I am wondering if that will show up on our folio as onboard credit or must it be used strictly to book an excursion?

For excursions only as per our CVP when we booked our excursions.  Of course, this could be incorrect info and if someone who has used it as OBC, please let us know.

Thanks for your replies! It is showing on our cruise Personalizer as OBC, So that is what I figured but I was just wondering if it would show up differently once we were on the ship.

Our OBC shows up in our “Travel Summary” only and not in Payment or Personalizer. 
Is this normal?  Eventually we like to use our OBC to pay a portion of our excursions.

We just got off the Enchanted last cruise and it could be used for anything including the casino. They do not differentiate it as a separate OBC.

I suspect they word it that way to encourage people to use it only for excursions and nothing else. 

We no longer do any excursions in the Caribbean.

Going next week on a cruise.My summary day shore excursion credit so I booked an excursion,which I normally don’t.Maybe I didn’t have to.
