helen haywood Posted January 14, 2023 #1 Share Posted January 14, 2023 Today Celebrity Equinox posted in their daily program that "due to local laws and customs regulations" the bars would be operating under limited capacity. In fact, only The Pool Bar served alcoholic drinks from when we arrived this morning to 4 pm when we departed. I have been here multiple times on many different lines and this has never been the case. Can anyone in the know point me to what these (and they must be new!) "local laws and customs regulations" are?
bookbabe Posted January 14, 2023 #2 Share Posted January 14, 2023 (edited) That's really weird. I know they have some laws around selling alcohol on election days and some other times like that, but I can't think of anything going on in Cayman this weekend other than Cayman Cookout, a food festival, so I doubt it was that. https://www.explorecayman.com/events/cayman-cookout-grand-cayman EDIT...unless they had crew bartenders competing or participating in some of the cookout events and were short staffed as a result? @TravellingBritNY@Capt_BJ Any thoughts?
