Marlo1958 Posted January 19, 2023 #1 Share Posted January 19, 2023 We are joining the QM2 Transatlantic cruise out of Hamburg in May and arrive in Hamburg the night before. Can anyone recommend hotels convenient to the cruise port? I noticed while on line that Cunard has partnered with some, but can't get any information beyond that. Thanks

Thanks If on a budget then consider Hafen if for only one night. BIL used it. Okay, it’s a bit dated, but the basic rooms are quite large, it’s clean and the food is good. Lynnewob Posted January 20, 2023 #3 Share Posted January 20, 2023 We used the Steigenberger and caught a taxi to the join QM2 which took about 10 minutes. The hotel is on the watersedge and a short walk into main area where the Town Hall is.

Capt_BJ Posted January 21, 2023 #5 Share Posted January 21, 2023 (edited) we boarded QM2 in Hamburg for our west bound crossing in 15 we arrived in Hamburg by train from Regensburg where our river cruise ended and stayed at the Radisson Blue adjacent to the DAMMTOR train station. Took a taxi to Hafen City which is where QM2 berthed at the time ... today I'm SURE they use the new cruise terminal which is buried in the commercial port and close to nothing ..... Rad' was adjacent to a beautiful and LARGE park and a short walk thru the park to shopping and food and and and ... plus a beautiful rooftop bar affording a fantastic view of the city Edited January 21, 2023 by Capt_BJ
