Rare Solent Richard Posted January 27, 2023 #1 Share Posted January 27, 2023 I'm seeing an increasing numbers of cruise ships being scheduled to call at the Croatian port of Zadar. It's a lovely place to visit so I've written a full review of how best to spend a day there as a cruise ship passenger. Here's the link to my blog where the review is... https://solentrichardscruiseblog.com/2023/01/27/one-way-to-do-zadar-croatia/
Rare cruisemom42 Posted January 27, 2023 #2 Share Posted January 27, 2023 Nice review. Worth pointing out that -- at least when I was there -- churches were being very strict about attire -- knees and shoulders covered. One poor girl on our walking tour wasn't allowed to go in as her short skirt was above the knee. Also -- I found the Archaeological Museum worth a visit, even though the visible Roman remains were scant. And the ice cream is delicious -- I seem to remember one local place in particular was noted for theirs and it was packed. Finally, Zadar is also known for being home to Maraschino, a cherry liqueur originally made by Zadar monks. Search some out, I saw at least one place that was offering tastings... PurpleTraveller Posted January 27, 2023 #3 Share Posted January 27, 2023 Thank you for posting the link to your blog. I will be visiting Zadar on Celebrity Constellation in June 2024 so this is very helpful in planning our day. 😊
