MDR Seating

It's been a while since my last Carnival cruise (and we had a party of 8 on the last one) - if you select a dining time can you choose to have a private table or are you still seated with others in the MDR?

If you go as a party of 8 you will be on your own as that is almost the top size for a table

Some ships have a 10 and 12 seat table but they are limited.  When my DW and I go by ourselves we had no problems getting a private table for 2 using Your time dining there is an option in the Hub app to select shared or not shared table.  Not sure how set dining time works.

If you do Fixed dining you are not able to arrange a private table, althoughyou may get fortunatein your assignment. . By using ATD, you are via the App.

Go to the dining room after approximately 1:30 on embarkation day and find your assigned table (it'll be printed on your room key card).  If you don't like it ask the maitre d to change it.  They'll accommodate you if at all possible.

We have found that they usually will ask you to wait until the following night and then they will assign you to a table for 2.

 

At least that has been our experience.
