Do you have to pay for entire cost of drink or only the difference on Nieuw Amsterdam?

You pay the difference, plus 18% of the difference.

I would check this out once onboard - I have heard that different HAL ships handle this differently - typical HAL!

@julia's response has been reported to be true fleet-wide recently. (Difference plus 18%.) It was true on K'dam on our B2B over New Years and into January. There should be poster-placards on the bars so indicating.

It’s on the new menus on Rotterdam this week. many drinks $11 or less in August are now a $ 1-3 premium.

Whoa, that's different from November too.  I drink Chianti so I know!  I'm booked for this July and I've only been giving HAL side-eye since...not impressed.
