Parintins, Brazil - saw Boi Bumba show - what else is there

Last time we were in Parintins we walked around town and saw the Boi Bumba show.  Beautiful show and I’m glad we did it.  But, we are returning and I am wondering if anyone has found something to do there other than the show.  Maybe out of town?

I have as well as other travel sites.   I am hoping to get first hand experience from people visiting by cruise ship.

Much much to do there other than the Boi Bumba show.  There are a couple of craft markets but local handicrafts are nothing special.  The town is on an island with limited facilities.
