Anyone on the above cruise, we are Michele and Yvonne from north Wales and wondering if anyone can recommend a place to stay post cruise for one night not too far from Marco Polo airport, we are staying one night pre cruise in Chioggia.  Looking at Padua maybe ? Any suggestions would be appreciated, looking forward to seeing you on board.

Bore da from a Welsh speaker! I would highly recommend the Majestic Toscanelli in Padua. Right in the centre of the Centro Storico so easy to visit all sights. Stayed for five days and loved it. And definitely have an ice cream (or two) at the Cafe Pedrocchi.

Second that!  We stayed at the Majestic Toscanelli before our Ravenna departure on Journey in October.  Lovely hotel, great location.  And Padua [Padova] is a great city for a 1-day stopover.  Reserve timed entry tickets to the Scrovegni Chapel online as part of the Biglietto Unico / Urbs Picta Card; start by walking to the Musei Civici Eremitani (near the Chapel) to pick up the tickets, then after seeing the Chapel and other sites in that area take the (included) tram down to the Basilica of St. Anthony [and give the saint a hug of thanks for any lost items you have found!].  Those are the two main sites, and worth the stopover.

Do a gelato taste test comparing Cafe Pedrocchi with Gnam Gnam!
