Specialty dining booking question

I am new to HAL and want to book Rudi’s before we sail to make sure I can celebrate my birthday dinner there.  I have a lot of OBC to use up but I understand I can’t use it until on board.  If I book and pay for Rudi’s now can I cancel and rebook it when on board to use up some of my OBC?

Yes, if you book prior to boarding, you will pay. So you would need to cancel and get the refund...hopefully it goes back to the credit card involved, otherwise you have more OBC to spend.
