FPP777 Posted March 4, 2023 #1 Share Posted March 4, 2023 Two people booked in a cabin, now one may not be able to go. The other person will still go. What is the best way to handle this. Call Royal and tell them, or just wait until check in to tell them?
D4 Posted March 4, 2023 #2 Share Posted March 4, 2023 It depends. If both people have trip insurance and one person can't go because of a covered reason, then that person needs to cancel with Royal and both parties need to file an insurance claim. The person still going will very likely have the single supplement reimbursed by their trip insurance.

Luke gs Daddy Posted March 4, 2023 #4 Share Posted March 4, 2023 Do not say anything and the one is a no show. Many threads on this. Your fees will be refunded.

The default is to have the person be a no show but, if the person still going cares about C&A status/points, check to see if switching the booking to solo for the remaining person can be done without changing the fare (that would get them extra points).
