Thank you for posting these!  This is an excellent live thread and it is really holding me over until my cruise next month.

I love Mahogany Beach and it is even BETTER when you get to watch a ship pull in.  We were there last year and I was just sitting in the water at the edge of the rope staring at the Caribbean Princess back in for what seemed like hours.

So when you walk out into the water, it starts very shallow, briefly drops to about 4 - 5 feet deep, then gets shallow again all the way out to the barrier

Yes!!! It was so cool! Really glad I got to be down there early enough to see it, especially considering I’m on her in two months

Do you recommend water shoes?  I can’t remember the entrance at Mahogany Bay.

It's pretty sandy last time I was there

@lennythenose not unless you just want them. Completely sand. It’s esentially cordoned off, and other than some patches of seaweed further out it was all sand

If you're setting sail on April 2nd, then yes we will be on the same cruise!

 

It's my first time cheating on Carnival so we'll see how I like it 😉

Perfect!!  I’ll be there in a couple of weeks. I’ll probably have my water shoes just in case but never know about hubby🙂.
