Ultimate sale: Optional or just part of total cost?

Asking for a friend:  Can somebody opt out of the Ultimate sale package and get a reduced fare?

Yes - you can book cruise only..always a good idea to check the difference in price between cruise only and OLife (this case the Ultimate Sale).   Usually the difference is the amount of the OBC so you are receiving the beverage package and shore excursions for no additional charge with the Ultimate Sale.  It all depends upon what you would use....

Could a person opt out of the Ultimate deal once a deposit is made for a summer cruise? Might not be worth it for those that don’t drink and do their own excursions.

There is a deadline that should be in the documents you received from your TA, or ask your TA. If no TA, call your O-rep and ask them what the deadline is.

 

The short answer is, yes, you can opt out/in, but there is a deadline.

if you only made the deposit  & not the final payment   yes

Are you using O air?

Are you in North America or UK?

 Things may be different depending on where your booking  was made

 

Good idea to put  your Country in your profile  saves a lot of misinformation

Ultra works the same as regular O Life (unless you are trying to get an adjustment to a previous booking that had it’s own “deal” (Most O breaks are not combinable).

Usually, O Life w/o air is the same price as Cruise Only w/o air per cabin to which has been added the per cabin value of the O Life SBC.

(So, never take the regular O Life SBC - zero added value).
