We have been Holland America loyalists but we are thinking about a Celebrity cruise in October. Athens-FLL.

If you have cruised both lines, what differences will we notice?

What is the current daily gratuity charge on Celebrity?

For us a transatlantic cruise is the best way to experience Celebrity. On our first Celebrity TA, we were in a concierge balcony cabin and had a great time! They had guest entertainers, a fun-loving CD and entertainment staff, good production shows, professional lectures, 3-4 trivias every sea day, and silent disco! Those are some of the differences I can think of. But there are probably more, especially if you can afford one of their suites.

 

For us and we're 4 star, HAL cruises once they implemented the Music Walk back around 2017 just got too "relaxing" for us. But I will say we had a great time in Oct 2019 on an In Depth EXC cruise on the Maasdam for 40 days circumnavigating Australia! But, that program as well as the Maasdam have long since disappeared.
