Sitka sound science center

Hi guys, will be on the Crown princess for a 10 day cruise, an will be in Sitka on Sept 6th, from 12:00 to 8 p.m., an will be goin to take the Raptor center & rain forest city walk. The tour also goes to the sitka sound science center. What is that an can anyone give some info on it? Thanks.

There's an aquarium with touch tanks featuring local tidewater species and a salmon hatchery.  The gift shop is cool.  They have special edition Theobroma chocolate, an amazingly good chocolate made locally in Sitka.

I have not been to the excursion.  However, if you are interested and it is a Princess excursion, then click on the write up about the excursion and see if it has any reviews.  I have often times done that to get the perspective of someone who has actually taken the tour and found it helpful.
