Funplay Credit and Drinks Anywhere Question

It's been a hot minute since we've been cruising due to work schedules/covid and all the life things.  After having covid and being hospitalized for 12 days at times I have difficulty recalling things and have to go reeducate myself. So bear with me guys.  Hubby and I booked an offer with 500$ funplay credit and free drinks anywhere on the ship. Specifically I feel like I can save that 500 Funplay credit to use toward gratuity, am I correct?  Also do the drinks anywhere work like they do in the casino? I get my drink and see it comped in my account with only any gratuity I add showing up as a charge?  Also refresh this old lady on what all I can use FUNPLAY for..I think I remember using it on slot machines also...Thanks again guys!

Funplay credit has to be used to play in the casino on slots or tables.

 

DOU anywhere is used like Cheers.  It will show up as 0.00 transaction unless you add a tip.

 

If you have additional OBC, that can be used for gratuities

All the above is correct. Having said that almost ALL of the casino offers require a $100 or $200 pp deposit that's refunded as OBC. It's THAT OBC that can be used for almost any purpose, including gratuities.

Also, there are still some ships where they actually hand you cash rather than having it available to download on the machines (the Spirit class ships as an example).  If that happens you can certainly choose not to play it and use it to offset your onboard charges.....I personally don't have that level of discipline, LOL!

Just sailed on the Spirit in February and had fun play credits as well as drinks anywhere on the ship. The fun play credits were not handed in cash. They were downloaded on to the slot machines per usual with fun play credits. It was nice to have the free drinks everywhere too. Wish they would bring back that offer again.

I had a cruise held on the drinks on us everywhere offer, overslept and forgot to pay the dang deposit!!

Bummer.  Last sailing on the Miracle in July we were handed cash.  I'm holding out for an offer that has free drinks everywhere!

We just got off the Miracle a week ago. The casino was giving cash for their free slot play casino offers. Most ships it's loaded onto your card. Also, if you're platinum tier, don't forget to go to the casino cashier and get your $25 in cash as part of your perks.

Legend was giving funplay in cash last year.  Sunshine and Mardi Gras loaded it onto card.

The last time  I got real $$$$  was on Pride Journey's cruise in January 2020

I was also on the miracle last week and was handed $1000 in cash.  I played it all on the table games.  There was a long list of players being handed cash on that cruise.

Going on Magic in a few weeks.  What if you don't play slots?  Do they give you chips, or a voucher to redeem for chips at a table?

When was the last time Miracle was updated, more specifically, their casino?

Maybe Miracle doesn't have that software yet?

We disembarked on 3/5. We were told they don't have the updated system, so the casino cage gives cash. The casino is nice though.

Seems like we did pay a deposit so we should get that back..I'll go back and look. That'll cover gratuity.. I thank you for your help everyone, it's been crazy since I had covid and trying to get back on track 18 months later. You all are the best!

on the Miracle they removed the casino bar last October and added more slot machines.  There is a non smoking side for table games but it is still close to the smokers so some days the smoke was heavy.

They give cash to table players instead of funchips. Slots are different.

Yes, it includes Java Blue coffee bar drinks.

I just did an online booking that is to include FunPlay credit and drinks. Is this suppose to show up on my booking information or does everyone just assume it was booked correctly with the casino offer? Thanks for your help.

It doesn't show up on your booking.  I went to oceansplayersclub.com and select verify your casino offer.  They will send you an email confirming what offer you have booked.  I have never had a problem once on board, however, I always have the email back up just in case.
