NCL Solo Discounts

Hi All,

Does anybody know why on the US NCL website you can find "solo discount" cruises by checking the little box when looking at the filter section BUT on the Canadian site or for that matter the UK site this doesn't exist?

I'm on the Sky's May 29 cruise and received a solo discount when booking through my PCC.  I wasn't aware there was one on this cruise until he told me.

I tried emailing my PCC with this question but he didn't get back to me.

Thanks, happytotravel

Sorry, but that link doesn't help at all.  I've checked before.

I suppose we could go to the US site and see what comes up there and then check with our PCC or TA.

Be sure to change your VPN location to US in order to get to the US site.

Thanks to you both, happytotravel

I’m going to have to figure out how to change to a U.S. location 🤦‍♀️ lol

Go into your VPN setting and click on the Region Setting and change it from Canada by clicking on United States of America.  I use Norton but I'm sure all others are the same.

Good luck, happytotravel

Cruiseplum.com (which doesn't sell anything, just has a powerful search engine and a number of deals lists) is a great source for solo supplement deals. It also provides info on price per day, and on price trends for any particular cruise.  Much better than NCL US site for identifying solo deals and price trends.  It's a good place to start before venturing onto the cruise lines' sites.

I checked out the site and am wondering are the prices for solo discounts from NCL itself or do they come from other places as well such as a TA site?

Based on my observations, it seems that the price data is from the cruise lines themselves, not from discount travel agencies (which will price things cheaper in many instances).  But I'm not certain.  You can email the webmasters to ask them -- hopefully they'll respond.  If they do let you know where they get their data from, could please report back on this thread?  -- I'm curious now!

Hi,

I read the FQs and I too believe the prices come from the cruise lines.  It's a very interesting website.  I cruise on NCL so am interested in their discounts.  I notice that many of the Alaska cruises are deeply discounted for this year.  I already have my cruise booked and paid for this year but will certainly check things out for next year.

Sorry it took me so long to answer you.  happytotravel
