kmc1047 Posted March 10, 2006 #1 Share Posted March 10, 2006 I am thinking of joining the Dec-2006 Caribbean Cruise but could not decide whether to on the Sea Princess or Royal Caribbean. Sea Princess itinerary looks really tempting but I heard the inside cabin size is kinda small and the food is so-so compared to Royal Caribbean. If there is anyone out there who had been on the Sea Princess, will really appreciate your advise. Thank you in advance. ;)
chrysalis Posted March 10, 2006 #2 Share Posted March 10, 2006 we are going to be on the Sea in two weeks time, and have sailed on her sistership, the Sun a couple of times during the last couple of years, and been in inside cabins. We have no problem with them at all...plenty of room for two. Plus, we really enjoy the Princess food and the Personal Choice dining option. The flexibility is wonderful and it keeps us a Princess fans.
Ethel5 Posted March 10, 2006 #3 Share Posted March 10, 2006 We were on the Sea Princess in November and doing her again in April. The cabin was roomy enough and the food was very good to excellent.
10X Posted March 10, 2006 #4 Share Posted March 10, 2006 We were on the Sea Princess in February. Our inside cabin was one of the smallest we've ever had. However, we managed without difficulty for 2 weeks and don't have any complaints. The food was excellent.
mr green Posted March 10, 2006 #5 Share Posted March 10, 2006 Smallish cabins, but the Sun clss ships are great, and so is the food. john
C 2 C Posted March 11, 2006 #6 Share Posted March 11, 2006 Inside rooms are about 10 sq ft smaller than comparable lines 162 ft rather than 172 to 174 on HAL and Celebrity. We were on the Sun and found it small. It could just be the angled entry but the bed(s) were very close to the door.
Rare PescadoAmarillo Posted March 11, 2006 #7 Share Posted March 11, 2006 We were on the Sea Princess for 14 nights in December, in an inside cabin. Our's was one of the cabins with the angled doors, and was about 138 sq. ft. It is pretty tight when the bed is made up as a queen; a bit better with the beds as twins. The tightest spot is right outside the bathroom door...if someone is sitting at the vanity the other person cannot get in or out of the bathroom. However, we made out just fine, loved the storage in the cabin, booked the same cabin on the same ship for next year. For a little more space (about 20 sq ft.), book one of the insides without the angled doors. That is one itinerary where you are truly not in your cabin except to sleep.
