And I hate it when the gamblers all brag about the great rates they get and the free drinks, etc. I've sailed on Carnival 25 times over 37 years and the only free thing I ever got was a free upgrade on the Spirit to a balcony. But then again, I don't make deposits in the casino. By your handle, you're obviously a gambler.
mz-s Posted March 21, 2023 #54 Share Posted March 21, 2023 The casino prints money for the company. Any comps they spend pale in comparison to the money that comes in through the casino.

Casinos fall under individual cruise lines like loyalty programs do; the shareholder OBC is corporate and is not a casino comp. The rules to qualify for the shareholder OBC are in black and white. Casinos are not required to keep a cruise line afloat. Ask Disney.

Because they are a superior cruise line. There are also cruise lines with casinos that cost more than Carnival. Why? Nobody is irreplaceable. Gamblers, smokers, whatever. john91498 Posted March 21, 2023 #58 Share Posted March 21, 2023 So hilarious, I paid a little over a thousand dollars for my 100 shares. And with the cruising I've been doing, free or otherwise, the shares have already paid for themselves. I mean, you just spent thousands on a cruise, what's another grand for OBC? And if the stock doesn't go down, you still have the original investment that made you obc...

Thought that Robert Kraft said that two years ago when he was caught in the massage parlor.
