Corfu with kids

hey CCs 

we are visiting Corfu with 2 children at the end of August 

any recommendations on tour companies and what we should see? or perhaps a visit to the beach if worthy ?

Book a trip with Nautilus,  you will visit some lovely spots to swim by boat, and have a great onboard BBQ.  best excursion we’ve ever done.

looks great but my husband can't swim and my 2 kids are too young to freestyle swim from off the side of the boat. 

any other suggestions?

You will probably be docked in Corfu Town.

 

Have you tried internet searching Corfu TOWN beaches (or similar) because if you only serch for "Corfu beaches" you will get results from across the entire island.

 

Corfu is known for its scenery and taxi tours are popular, but as you didn't give the ages of your kids it is difficult to know if scenery would be of interest to them or not.

 

Corfu town itself may have something of interest to kids, again you only need to internet search something like "Corfu TOWN for kids" or if prepared to venture out of town, try searching for "Corfu for kids" for results across the entire island.

not too sure what to expect from the kids as we havent really travelled like this with them. 

they will be 9 and 6 years

Since Corfu is in Greece, you might get more eyes on your post (and thus more feedback) if you post on the Greece board.

Maybe your children might like to visit the Old Fort that is close to the old city centre. If you are cruising with Celebrity it is where the shuttle bus from the port dropped us off. It cost us €6 per adult to get in and we walked up to the lighthouse (great views) through a tunnel and past cannons. We didn't spend a lot of time there but the fort and it's history was interesting. The old town is lovely to walk through but I don't know if your children would enjoy that. You could possibly visit the fort in the morning and spend the afternoon at a beach.
