Corkage Fee

If I bring my own wine on the ship, and wish to drink it in the MDR, will I be charged a corkage fee? If so, how much? This will be a 5 day on Carnival Freedom.

A $15 USD corkage fee, per 750 ml bottle, will be charged should guests wish to consume their wine or champagne in the main dining room, specialty restaurant or bar.

A corkage fee is a charge assessed at time of service at a restaurant for every bottle served that is not bought on the premises. https://help.carnival.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/5125/~/corkage-fee

Do like a lot of people and pour in your cabin and bring with you.  You can request wine glasses at most bars if none in your cabin.

Corkage fee may or may not be charged, but it certainly could be.

 

It is not unusual for people to bring a glass of wine to dinner.

As Blerk said, they reserve the right to charge a $15 corkage fee. Personally we have never been charged and we always take a bottle with us to the MDR. If you don't want to risk being charged, just pour it in your cabin and take the glass with you.
