Changing my cruise to a different ship question ..

Hi,

  

  Our cruise is booked on the Rate Code PB4  and we are Paid in Full.
 

  Currently booked on Mardi Gras, out of Miami in September 2024.

 

  We’re interested in switching to Celebration, out of Miami in September 2024.

 

  First hand experience using rate code PB4 and switching ships ??  We are so far out that we don’t see a problem. Is there a fee to change?
  But, thought I’d ask here tonight, before calling Carnival tomorrow.

Do you mean out of Port Canaveral?  Mardi Gras only sails from there.  (Until it doesn't, but no plans yet.)

Hi,

 

Alrighty …..  I called Carnival.
 

We got our Mardi Gras cruise switched to the Celebration.  We’re staying in a 8K Extended Balcony Cabin (mid ship, Deck 12) for $20 something less than our 8K Deck 12 cancelled Mardi Gras. Both cruises are for September 2024.  
 

I’m being specific in case this info applies to anyone else’s situation. 🤷🏻‍♀️
 

We were NOT charged the $50pp fee to do this change.  I mentioned our Rate Code PB4 to the Rep and she said we wouldn’t have to pay. Cool!

Sounds like you got what you needed!  I'm not surprised Carnival didn't try to stick you with the $50 pp change fee, because your rate code did say "Change fees are not assessed outside of the final payment window", which is where you are still at.
