Interesting Blue Chip offer...Will I get it??!!

So I got an offer in my email today about a number of Europe sailings Apr-June (mostly E class)...free interior from Blue Chip Club. (INT pretty nice on Eclass)

First offer I've seen...WELL...I happen to be cruising in Europe in May & with a bit of fanagling (is that a word?), I just might be able to tack it on.

SOOOO....I click to fill out the for--and my MOTHER'S name is on it (God rest her soul).

Huh. Pretty sure I've gambled more than her in their casinos!

SOOO...I just put my name in instead.

Anyone had this happen before??? Do I have a chance in hell of getting it?

Offers are tied to your Captain's Club number so it's should be easy to see in the email's fine print to what CC# the offer is associated with. If it's not your number, the offer doesn't apply to you.

I rather expect not to get it...but worth a try!

Well, your mother could be a no-show. You'd be charged her port taxes & fees. Only works if you don't need to add 2 pax. The 3rd pax rate is typically WAY too much. In excess of $1k in my experience.

This is incorrect on multiple levels.  For comps, the person who the comp is for must sail.  If they don't show, the others in the reservation may be charged the going rate for the room.  I say may, because they may not catch it.

 

Secondarily, if a passenger doesn't show up for a cruise, that person's taxes & fees are automatically refunded.

Your best bet is to call Blue Chip Club to see if you have the same offer on your account and ask whether the sailing date you're looking to book is available.

I received a postcard today for a free inside room for certain Europe cruise.  The QR Code didn’t work so I called.  They emailed me the options.  Mostly transatlantic and a few 7 day options in Europe.  Was told if I was interested in another room type it’s 20% off.  The cost, net taxes, etc on one option is ~$1,500 savings. Perhaps I could book and do a Move Up offer…
