  1. We were also on Discovery Princess. What an amazing experience for a first timer chaser. Passengers also made a huge difference, with thousands on deck everyone was polite and respectful. Also want to add that staff set up 2 rows of chairs by the pool side railings deck 16 for those who needed to be out of sun and/ or seated. I was there with my 94 yo mom so she can also experience this event. Crew members walked around passing out water, ice teas, suntan lotion so you don’t miss a minute of this event. According to Princess its going to be Sky Princess in 2026 - I assumed it will in Med/Spain - although itinerary is not out yet.
  2. My sister submitted request via e mail to hello at stockperks and got multiple emails (auto reply?) from ‘Zac’ to use app over 10 days. I was going to download app on my phone to do it for her BUT she got another e mail address from Princess to contact Carnivalcorp at stockperks for benefits. Finally got it applied after 2 weeks back and forth. She is very annoying with this new process after being a shareholder for 20+ years.

  4. Big box does not accept Amex card for payment anymore. Visa only. You can use Amex for other expenses like excursions, specialty dining…etc.
  5. This requires ‘special handling’ and if you have a Princess CVP it’s best let the CVP handle this for you. I have avoided calling the general # since Princess outsourced call center yes, based on past experience if you paid 100% solo supplement you ‘should’ expect to only pay additional port charges and taxes for adding a second passenger in the same cabin

  7. Discovery Princess has ‘ Flow water’ filling station that I didn’t see it on Majestic Princess this past May. ‘Flow water’ sells paper carton packaged water that you can purchase at supermarket. Ruby may get it during dry dock.
  8. Just disembarked from Majestic Princess in Vancouver 5/27. Ship arrived at 7 am but disembarkation didn’t start until after 8 am - I think dock workers didn’t start until close to 8 am. Honestly I have never seen so many people wanted to self disembark with luggages in any ports, long lines. We were on first group independent (Princess handled our luggages) which was scheduled to disembark around 8:50 am but actual time was around 9:15 am. Taxi wait was about 15 minutes, not bad for a 3 ships day. There was a down escalator or elevator to pick up luggages and walked through customs doors then direct to gate B for taxis. Lots workers along the way to direct traffics. Our flight was at 1:15 pm and got to airport with plenty time to go through US customs.
  9. I was on Majestic Princess in May. When we docked at RRA on May 9 we were bused. When we docked at RRF on May 17, we were tendered. Same with other mega ships docked at RR. RRA is bused and RRF is tendered.
  10. We had disembarked in Livorno ( Florence), one day before Civitavecchia on a Celebrity transatlantic cruise pre covid. You need to get a written approved document from Celebrity / RCI pre cruise. While onboard we re confirmed with GS and someone helped with our luggages on disembarkation day and we just walked off, no immigration process. You can fill the request form online if it’s still there (Celebrity used the same form as RCI before)or contact RCI to check if ‘down lining’ (disembark early) is still allowed.   11. I just checked 4 different cruises for cabin availability using iphone without any issues but didn’t go through final booking process. Haven’t had any issues with website for a while now.
  12. I was able to add 2 passengers to my original solo cabin 1 month before sailing this past January. Since I was already paying 100% supplement, the second passenger only paid port fees & tax and the third person paid cruise fare + port fees & tax. I booked direct with Princess and no other fees charged by Princess .
  13. I think Op maybe referring to targeted casino discount rate offered for this sailing. There is also a large online agency is listing this cruise at lower price than Princess website. First time I’ve this difference for any Princess cruise
  14. I have sailed on Discovery twice. Juneau wasn’t available for reservations both times - mostly for walk ins. I found both Juneau and Skagway tend to be noisy at peak dining time and Ketchikan a little ‘calmer’. If you eat after 7:20 ish pm it’ll be much nicer dining experience . During my last cruise it was hard to change dining time if you want between 6-7 pm. One night we waited about 20 minutes at Juneau in order to dine earlier than our original reserved time. Host will give you a buzzer
  15. For Princess casino discounted cruise - generally sent as ‘sail & play’ e mail -You can sign into your Princess account and book online directly. If you have offers it will reflect in the fare you see. Yes, Princess CVP can book these for you if you want. These are NOT comp cruises. For comp cruises I think you have to call casino department 1-888-772-6697.
  16. We were on Solstice last October Mx Riviera cruise with premium wifi. Able to stream Youtube without any problems , texting was fine but was surprised that e mail images loaded very slowly or blocked. I didn’t use internet for anything else so can’t speak to browsing speed
  17. You have 3 choices - call MGM rewards, e mail MGM rewards or get it done at any casino reward desk. Call can be 10 minutes to an hour depending how busy Celebrity is - MGM rep would call Celebrity to verify while put you on hold. E mail can be hit or miss, i once waited 3 weeks and finally called. At casino desk just show them your Celebrity profile with status and get your new card.

  19. Yes, you can purchase wifi on board, it will be charged to your on board account. Price is the same on board, just go into Medallion net it will take you through the process. New internet price takes effect for cruises with sailing starts late February, you ‘should’ see the new price based on your cruise sail date in the app, but we all know sometimes there is a glitch.
  20. You can call or check status online. Promised time for expedited process is 3-5 weeks. I renewed my mom’s passport online 11/30 and received new passport first week in Jan. Paid both expedited fee and shipping. The passport card came in separately in regular mail a couple days later.
  21. Unfortunately it was that ‘red stuff ‘ being offered daily. The other ‘Norman Love’ imitation desserts didn’t taste the same either.
  22. Just off Discovery Princess today. The only change that I noticed is the Embarkation day menu has changed slightly- main entree choices are down to 3. I think there were 4 before. I don’t have any other menu photos to share.
  23. Currently it is $20/ day and sign up is for the total voyage (or rest of the voyage depending on when you sign up)on Discovery Princess. If you sign up using door panel, it will state the total $ amount that will be charged then you have to hit ‘confirm’ button to complete the sign up process.
  24. It all depends on what you want. We like to buy for ‘cancel for any reason’ insurance due to mom’s age. if you will have land tour on your own as far as I know Princess’ insurances does not cover that portion.
