  1. It all depends on what you want. We like to buy for ‘cancel for any reason’ insurance due to mom’s age. if you will have land tour on your own as far as I know Princess’ insurances does not cover that portion.
  2. Yes redact anything irrelevant to CCL shares ownership - like account number. I recently submitted Carnival form with second page of monthly statement as proof , no address just name of the institution, my name, statement date and account number ( redacted) on the page without any issues. I’ve done the same many times before.?Turn around time was 1 day, no e mail notification. A few years ago I spoke to the shareholder benefits dept, the representative told me they prefer you don’t send in any irreverent personal information! At that time the preferred method was fax so they don’t have to be responsible for your personal information.
  3. I received the ‘congratulations’ e mail first then second email came within 15 minutes with updated invoice and new cabin assignment. Next day I signed into cruise personalizer to pay. Very easy
  4. Try to call Princess again and ask to be transferred to someone with ‘guest services’ . I’m guessing that the new ‘guest services’ team is the new next level problem resolution. The lady I spoke to was based in the US , who was able to fix my issue with obc. The front line call center in the Philippines were not able / or allow to make corrections.
  5. Just had my bid for Jan 21 Discovery 7 days Mexico accepted. BD ( gty assigned) to MB for $ 150/pp . I received an invite to bid a few months ago right after I booked ( directly with Princess) and wasn’t planning to bid until I added 2 other family members recently. Submitted 2 bids - delux Balcony and Mini suite, both minimum. receive rejected e mail two days ago, it didn’t state which bid was rejected so I went online to check status. Delux Balcony showed ‘expired’ and Mini suite showed ‘pending’ with no ability to modify the bid. Then last night got upgrade to mini suite notifications. I paid directly through cruise personalizer. I did check prior to bidding that there were still many mini suites available so I stick to minimum bids.
  6. I think Celebrity offers fewer less than 100% solo supplement comparing to NCL except this past summer. She is also discouraged by more than 100% solo supplement.
  7. Unfortunately sometimes solo rates are more than 200%! Just priced Jan MX Riviera cruise balcony $ 500/pp double ,solo$1250 inside $269/pp, $745 solo that’s why my friend never look to Celebrity for solo rates and stick with NCL
  8. Try Ruby Princess out of Galveston-only 7 days cruises. Many sailings from Jan to Apr 2023 have 10% solo supplement only, each one can have your own cabin.
  9. You should be able to see the insurance cost in your cruise planner as it’s something you can still purchase prior to sailing. If can’t see it, you can do a mock booking on website to check insurance cost. I recently added insurance to my Jan cruise it was exactly 8% of cruise fare $47.84 for cruise fare $598. In the past they use to run up $ to nearest ‘9. I don’t have any experience with #2 to help.
  10. We were on Solstice in Oct, MDR breakfast was fine, service was good but not super fast. We usually arrived around 8:30 am and didn’t have to wait long to get seated. Of course this all depends in your itinerary and capacity. We sailed with around 60% capacity. Buffet was ok for lunch but didn’t find anything interesting at Spa cafe at all, very disappointing with selections.
  11. Just came back from Solstice MX Riviera cruise. I purchased premium wifi for 1 device prior to boarding so my mom can stream Youtube vid. I used it to check emails, easy to switch between devises. Speed was good, no drops at all
  12. Hi I was on Majestic Princess from Jan 21- Feb 5 , 2022 Mx Riviera Cruises w passport exp 6/19/2022 without any issues. passport with 5 months to expiration is still valid for flying back to US.
  13. When ‘currently unavailable’ shows up on a specific cruise most likely is the back office is doing ‘cabin shuffle’ in order to assign guaranteed cabins before sailing. The longer it’s lock up , the fuller the ship is. From time to time you may see it opens back up for a few hours or a day when a cabin is released from courtesy hold. As soon as someone grabs open cabin, the cruise may go back to ‘currently unavailable’ You can check other websites to see if available cabins can be found.
