Jjohnb Posted March 24, 2023 #1 Share Posted March 24, 2023 Is it possible to access the sun deck on deck 14 forward directly in front of the Sea Thermal Suites?
Zacb Posted March 24, 2023 #2 Share Posted March 24, 2023 Yes, this area is accessible from the Sea Thermal Suite (charges apply for non-aq guests)
Jjohnb Posted March 24, 2023 Author #3 Share Posted March 24, 2023 Thank you. This is out first cruise as aqua so that is great news! We were excited to book aqua but after we did, it looks like Celebrity is cutting back on what is provided in aqua class. It appears the only real benefits are Blu, access to the Sea Thermal Suite and a welcome bottle of wine. Is it really still worth the additional cost. We're excited about Blu but honestly the four standard restaurants and the specialty restaurants are so good we probably will only make it to Blu a couple times. Not sure how much more you paid for your aqua cabin but I was astounded by what they are charging for a week long pass to the PG on S class ships with what I would call a very modest offering of a thermal area. When we first started with celebrity, a week long pass was $75 pp. That was in 2015. On our most recent Solstice cruise they were charging $150 pp for the week. It was a hard pass for us. If the E class ships have stepped up their game in the thermal area, I'm guessing the cost of a pass is even more expensive. All that to say, the cost of a pass alone may make an aqua cabin worth it. Rare PMT51 Posted March 24, 2023 #5 Share Posted March 24, 2023 There is nothing in that sun deck, not even a place to sit. Just an empty space. You can however look down onto the outdoor area of the big suites

What's the actual purpose of this area then?
Zacb Posted March 24, 2023 #7 Share Posted March 24, 2023 On Beyond they have solved that by putting some art and sun loungers out there. Don’t know if that has/will be adopted on Edge. 🤷♂️
