I really dislike how these changes are justified by the “customers want flexibility” excuse. To me extra flexibility leads to extra stress. I loved the 3 perk all inclusive product with OBC because it reduces the constant drip drip drip of extra charges. I don’t go on holiday to spend it making dozens of purchasing decisions every day, monitoring my folio and managing costs. That’s about as not relaxing as I can think of. In the end Celebrity can charge what they like but it does make me wonder if there are any operators out there offering true Relaxed Luxury™️

It really does seem like Celebrity is reconsidering its approach to loyalty benefits (and its most loyal customers). It’s very possible that current loyalty features are rewarding undesirable behaviours that Celebrity are desperate to change. Elite happy hour is a perfect example. Celebrity wanted to change to all included for all passengers and the most vocal opponents? Elites who have worked hard to get their happy hour. The misjudgement eventually causing a very expensive backflip. It’s going to be a while until they can get that product change back on track, and in the mean time the rest of the planned product and demographic related changes keep happening without the planned revenue to support them, thus the repeating shows and reduction in food quality. Celebrity have obviously misjudged their customers priorities but now plan b doesn’t seem to be going so well.

@swjumbo you don’t have to wait until the designated time to be glamorous. You can choose to be glamorous any time. By the pool. In the bar. 24/7 if that’s what you want. But don’t expect that everyone is going to conform to your narrow view on what a good vacation should be.

Chic night is what you want it to be. For me Chic night means a slightly better menu in main dining rooms but I wear the same attire as any other night. Dress up if that makes your vacation feel a little more special but you won’t be alone if you’re not.

I boarded in Sydney. Couple of weeks ago. All they want to see is the physical test or a photo of the test. You could even do it at the dock or on board your flight. Since there is no way to prove exactly when you took the test you could do it prior to leaving home. 😉

I feel really terrible for you. LLP should be ashamed that passengers can access all the relaxed luxury early! You should definitely not enjoy it. That'll show em.

On Beyond they have solved that by putting some art and sun loungers out there. Don’t know if that has/will be adopted on Edge. 🤷‍♂️
