How are P&O doing now?

I have to disagree on the entertainment. I have been several times on RCI and their ents are 100% superior to P&O. I have seen two good acts on P&O but on Iona the acoustics in the bubble are worse than our local pub!  The main shows are the same group of entertainers each night. RCI had proper shows with people brought in. We saw Grease, The Jersey Boys  and others  from the professional American shows. They were as good as Broadway shows in my opinion. As to the food...well the Quays is OK but other cruiselines have a much bigger choice in their buffets(leaving aside the specialist restaurants) and the service is much better.IMO.

There's more than enough on them buffets IMO

And so many specialist restaurants now

If they put everything they used to in the buffet it kind of defeats the point of specialist restaurants to a certain extent?

On Arvia there were so many shows going on in so many places (many of them professional) that if you didn't like the dome (we didn't particularly either) you could go elsewhere

And the Headliners team were very talented to be fair. It's so competitive to win a place on that team now. They have to be good

If you look at the poor reviews for P&O,  a large number relate to price cuts ( which Tui tend not to do) and to poor service from P&O  customer services. No argument about that !

The comments on the actual cruises tend to be far more positive, although obviously issues will still be raised.

I am a member of Trust Pilot and just did a fleeting glance at the overall scores of some cruise companies . TUI cruises 1.9 poor  . . . Princess cruise 1.6 poor ... H & A Line  2.0 poor

and P&O cruisers 1.6 bad .

From what I'm reading if you want a nice time at sea then go P&O Ferries 3.9 rated great !

As you have pointed out , looking at the above most who have a complaint will fill in a

review more than someone who enjoyed their cruise and simply moved onto booking the next one .

Last year we enjoyed our Fjords cruise on Celebrity Silhouette. Food was good. Can't remember much about the entertainment. I can remember the cost of the balcony cabin.£1700 each. I understand P&O are a little cheaper.🤔

We are paying £500 each inside cabin for 7 nights on Iona

Think we needed to pay £200 each more for a balcony

I predict nobody on Celebrity will enjoy the cruise more than we will enjoy the cruise on Iona

P&O also bring in the Jersey Boys, people from the west end, The Four Seasons etc

Some good acts on P&O. We go to the show every night. Some are better than others, but we have found the entertainers are....entertaining.

Well having done a number of P&O cruises I have yet to see it! The only ones I know about are the ones appearing in the Limelight club. I am talking about the free to watch shows. The Jersey boys also did impromtu shows on the bridge over the  centre of the ship and the promenade was packed.

Also talking about free ones. Plenty of good ones. Have seen some comedians, ventriloquists etc. Seen a few bad ones but overall the majority are good.

If you go on the feefo review site which P&O use now instead of a questionnaire you will get a much larger sample of customers who have just returned from a PO cruise and they score 3.7/5.

Brittany ferries is good. Great prizes in the quiz, but for the cost of a return to St malo overnight with a cabin, we could have a week on Iona. We can't take the car though.

Note to predictive....where the heck is st Mallory.
