isuggestions on where to shop for good locally produced olive oil on rete/Chania in town?

It is Greece so local olive oil will be found on sale in a multitude of outlets, everywhere from specialist shops to local supermarkets  You can buy from small sizes up to cans holding at least one litre or more, so you should have some idea of how much you are able to carry and transport home before you buy.  You will also easily find other local products such as honey, olives, local cheeses and wine.

Google is your best friend. Have you tried googling something like "shops (or stores) selling olive oil in Chania"?

Unless they've changed the drop off location, if you take the shuttle bus provided at the port in Chania (the port is actually called Souda, but Chania is the nearby town), you will be dropped directly in front of the Old Chania Market.  I'd be shocked if you can't find local olive oil here.  See the picture I've attached.  It's a fun little market to explore.  Chania is a nice little town and you'll probably find a lot of other stores selling local products as well.  If you decide to buy at the market, I would not purchase until you're ready to leave.  The shuttle bus spot to pick you up is also located in the same spot as you are dropped off.

Yes, I have googled it.  I just wanted to see if anyone had a good experience with any particular shops and could provide a recommendation to compare against other reviews.

Thanks for the suggestion.  I only vaguely recall that market as we were last on Crete over seven years ago and my memory is fuzzy on the specifics of the markets we visited.  However, I think Google is showing that market (if it's the one I'm thinking of) being temporarily closed for renos until around Jan 2024 (??).

Ah yes, I see that now in Google too.  I didn't notice that when I was looking it up.  Good luck with your search!

We did a land trip to Crete and from Chania drove to biolea for an olive oil tour.   Can’t do it without a car or organized tour. Their oil is very nice.

Thanks for the recommendation.  They came up during our initial research and while the thought of visiting their farm was appealing, I wasn't sure if figuring out the logistics of how to get there would be worth it.  I'll keep them on the list and do some additional research on what might work for us transportation-wise.

Any suggestions on where to shop for good locally produced olive oil on Crete/Chania in town?  But I'd consider going to an olive farm if easy to get to.

I am going to be in Crete next week and I am going on an excursion to an "Olive Oil Estate"........will let you know how it goes😀
